Play Space - Prince Charles Hospital
A concept for a children's play space connected to the Paediatric Emergency Department of Prince Charles Hospital, Chermside, QLD has been accepted By Queensland Health & the Queensland Government. Design Development will begin early in 2011.
A complex web of coloured ropes, balls and pulleys located inside a 5m high concrete tube. A 2.5m3 hollow cube designed for use as seating, performance space, playing shop and to be enjoyed rests outside the tube. A perimeter fence made from 110 coloured poles varying in height from 1.2 to 3m contains the space. The Project is due for completion near the end of 2011.
